Open Member settings in V8Chat and choose “AI connections (MCP)”. Access starts turned off.
Enable MCP deliberately. Then select the workspace you want to connect and create an access key. The complete key is shown only once.
Copy the server address https://api.v8chat.com/mcp and the access key into the MCP settings of the other AI application. Depending on the client, the fields may be called Server URL, MCP Server or Authorization Header.
The access key is used as a Bearer credential. Many MCP clients handle this automatically once you enter the URL and key.
Test the connection first by searching for available capabilities. Only then move on to capabilities that work with files, translation or other productive actions.
You can turn MCP off again at any time. Existing personal keys are then blocked immediately. You can also revoke a key or replace it with a new one.
